3 out of 5 stars Fragile but good   August 15, 2010
Mr. T. H. Baugh (Southampton, UK)
I'd agree with other reviews about these being fragile, I used them for work for 2 weeks and then one of the arms snapped just after the joint.

until that point I'd have given them 4 stars. comfort was acceptable, but reduced by the mould lines around them, which dug into me in select spots (behind the ears and on my temples especially). sight was not impaired at all from wearing them, they did look very nice, and they didn't 'ride' wrong due to my broken nose, which is an issue I have with most sports sunglasses (nose lifting them up to one side making them wonky on my face)

perhaps kept for driving they'd have lasted longer for me, I was disappointed with the materials used though.

3 out of 5 stars Fragile   August 13, 2010

I've had 3 pairs of these glasses in the last year. They are very good at protecting your eyes from the sun, as you'd expect, they are very comfortable and have good clear lenses which don't distort.

Unfortunately they are very fragile. They are either on my face or in a hard case and I don't treat them badly at all. But, all 3 pairs have broken across the bridge (within a couple of months) when I've been adjusting the position on my face. It seems to be a bit of a design fault. Also they can be very slightly misshapen (one arm higher than the other) which I think is to do with the manufacturing process and is slightly annoying.

Having said that I've just ordered yet another pair (the last chance for Bloc!) because they are so good.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent value for money   July 8, 2010

These glasses are a perfect fit and give great protection from the sun; they are very light and I was impressed with them and would recommend them as good value for money

4 out of 5 stars Good for very bright conditions   July 1, 2010

Great design, great feel (v lightweight), awesome in bright conditions... but anything other than all out sunshine and they make it too dark to see :S

After riding for awhile with these, I don't think they are a great buy for the UK conditions. You should opt for something with interchangeable lenses or simply low-light conditions.

4 stars coz it does its job well - after all it's my fault for going for smoked glasses. -1 star for not incorporating interchangeable lenses and then again I've yet to see a decent design of these.

In summary, you pay for the design and feel. If you need something for the summary and road cycling in sunny weather, this is the perfect choice. If you need an all-rounder, better go elsewhere.

5 out of 5 stars Light, Stylish and Practical   May 28, 2010
Martin Downton (UK)
These sunglasses are perfect for my needs; I can wear them on my bike in the morning when the sun is coming up and carry on wearing them during the day. They are light, which is good for cycling and just casual wear but they don't feel as if they are going to fall off or move out of place at all. The large, single piece frontage doesn't let any light in at all and even covers up my eyebrows!

Also I bought the Bloc Nevada case for them and despite being quite large the sunglasses do fit. Just.

A great buy, especially for the money.
