Excellent Value September 4, 2010 Tom Baker (Brighton, UK) These are great glasses for cycling. The shaded lenses are great for riding or time trialing in summer, and the clear lenses good for those cold autumn/winter rides. I have yet to try the yellow lenses at night, although I can't see myself using them too often.
The arms are narrow enough for wearing comfortably under an aero TT hat (although you may have to remove the rubber slips over the ends).
All in all a great set of glasses.
Clips can be fiddly September 1, 2010 sparkiemark A fair set of glasses for the price. They don't fit totally flush to my face (I may just have an odd shaped face!) and I've had one accurate fly who managed to make it behind the lens as I cycled.
Not tried the mid-tint lenses yet but the others have worked well as sunglasses and have stopped the streaming eyes on windy days.
One thing to note that although they do come with a sort of case (with a clip to attach to a backpack) it's really too big to be practical - which could lead to you leaving home without it and ending up with scratched lenses. I've bought a soft pouch to drop them in when I'm not wearing them.
cycling glasses for bike riding August 17, 2010 jon prosper these are excellent value as cycling glasses. With 3 lenses to suit weather conditions. Yoy genuinely do not have to pay more.
Disposable glasses - don't bother. August 17, 2010 C. Abrahams (uk) Bought these for my mountain biker husband as he had lost his old (more expensive) pair. I was so annoyed at having to buy another pair for him, I thought I would get the cheapest pair, expecting the old pair to reappear as soon as I parted with the money. Well, they say you get what you pay for and, infact, these are overpriced if that is to be believed. They are naff, plasticy in quality. There are no instructions as to how to change the lenses and they seem to be welded into the frames, so first problem - spare lenses, no way to change them. Next, part of the glasses broke off on his short journey to work - first day of wearing them. They look cheap, don't really look very trendy and he says they are not comfy. My advise is don't bother unless you like disposable glasses. Now I have to go and buy another pair.....grrrrr.
Big and Bulky July 26, 2010 Wickford Cully (England)
As other reviewers have pointed out these glasses will not win any awards for style. They are huge and in fact look exactly like my safty glasses I am issued at work. On the plus side they are cheap however and the lenses were easy to change. I brought them for reducing glare whilst driving but maybe I will only end up wearing them in the dead of night when nobody can see how bad you look with them on...
